There’s a eight year old girl in California who has erected a lemonade stand pledging to donate a hundred percent of the profits to a non profit organization named Not For Sale that addresses the issue of human slavery.

She has pledged to be at her lemonade stand every day rain or shine until she raises a hundred and fifty thousand dollars-pretty ambitious for anyone, much less a child with only lemonade to offer-but you have to admire her spirit and dedication.
I can’t help but wonder what could be accomplished if more had this same level of determination, this same level of concern and compassion-more, as in adults who are ultimately in control and equally if not more capable of making a stand.
