Read an interesting post this morning that by one individuals estimation there are as many as fourteen others who either have some responsibility or knowledge regarding the Annie Mae case and half of those are related in some manner to Russell Means.
When the math is done and the roll call viewed it seems an accurate assessment and undoubtedly those in authority are looking at this and making their own evaluations.
I noticed as well that Paul Demain has made mention of Bruce Ellison and the gaggle of attorneys in attendance during the trial and offers the opinion there may be a measure of sleep deprivation now-how very appropriate, how just.
Maybe I am reading more into this than what exists, but I see a greater willingness across the board to remove the gloves and speak more forcefully in this advocacy for Annie Mae-that is a good thing and well past the point of being warranted.
We should all remember no one wore gloves to soften the blows when Annie was beaten, raped, and murdered, and the reality is that for any who do so in her defense is a disservice. The attempts by LPDOC and Free Graham to align themselves with the justice for Annie Mae movement should be viewed for what it is- not just the removal of gloves, but the putting on of brass knuckles.
A victory has been won, and it was not the result of a pedestrian approach-it was the result of mounting up and taking it to them. Stay mounted and give no quarter, offer no respite-none was given the one we fight for and we are honor bound to do no less.
