The mission statement of the Rol is manifold-among the goals are Healing-Freedom-Responsibility-Justice, in the accumulation of these is an implied dedication to tradition, culture and a practicing of,and respect for the spirituality.
Coupled with that and frequently proclaimed are exhortations to return to /adopt a matriarchal society-all of this forms an amalgam that can translate to one thing in the case of Annie-that is an intensive involvement and effort to assist in a just and equitable resolution for Annie and her family, regardless of the status quo in the good ol’ boys club. That would be how to Rol wouldn’t it?
Vested interests or culpability among AIM members past or present cannot be a consideration or have relevance-protecting what became a corrupt organization either in a criminal sense ,or an ethical one, is no more valid than a defense of treaties and a defense of government policy or the activities of Wall Street bankers and the Fed. It is in fact more heinous and hypocritical.
For all the “warriors” and “leaders” who love to give forth with proclamations of a willingness to die in defense and service for their people let them take the lesser road of life and imprisonment for their people that the admission of guilt and complicity will bring for their involvement. Either that or they can continue to live a life of betrayal and cowardice. Seemingly hard choices, but in truth there are no others, and they are forever defined by the road they choose.
Every event surrounding the decisions made involving Annie were, and remain, the very antithesis of all lofty claims and stated goals, and will continue to promote nothing more than division and a further weakening of the fabric of the nations. The division created by this is not speculation, it has been obvious for 35 years and is undeniable.
It is a selfish thing, scurrilous, to believe there is a greater value in oneself or any lone individual, or group than nations that bleed. It is not about carefully crafted reputations, protecting a “brother or sister”, or perpetuating myth and lie-it is about being a human being, being one of the people.
The creation of so called banks, countless videos extolling the virtues of women and matriarchy, love of the camera and microphone, and authorship of books, fail to address that which is so studiously avoided and produces the picture that is worth a thousand words.
