Well it’s Sunday- a day of “worship” for a lot of people, and I respect them for that if they are sincere and in their belief do no harm, though sincerity in itself doesn’t cover the multitude of sins preachers-especially televangelists rale against.
Sins televangelists in particular seem to believe they are above and lacking any accountability for until they are dragged weeping and moaning into the public spotlight.
When this occurs the norm is to classify it as a satanic attack-old bezelbub targeting them personally for the good work and miracles they do.
It’s a wonder, a mystery to me that any believe them-and yet they do.
But the same could be said of the fraudulent liberators and patriots that have arisen within the nations, though their adversary of choice they rale against isn’t satan as they know we wouldn’t buy that anymore than we do the words of the televangelists.
Now our version isn’t inclined to claim miracles in the generally understood definition of the word-they don’t make the lame to walk, the blind to see, or can lay hands on anyone and slay them in the spirit. Though slaying in the physical sense isn’t something they lack familiarity with-if it were possible you could ask some of their victims about that.
They don’t have a crucified Jesus to offer so they do the next best thing and improvise with Peltier-claiming he is wrongly accused and crucified in the process-when the more likely scenario is that he like them has assumed the role of Judas and sold the nations out.
They don’t even ask you to lay your hands on the television screen- merely believe and send some money.
They take a different approach-granted they want your money, your belief and allegiance, and to run interference for them-but the “miracles” they would claim is that the nations have made a quantum leap forward as a direct result of their “leadership” and efforts.
If you point out the fact that isn’t true then you’re a fed, sellout, or snitch, attacking them-the parallels are obvious.
They don’t pray over those donations the faithful send, they just take the money and laugh all the way to the bank. Fidelity in relationships isn’t necessarily seen as a virtue either-being there for their children isn’t as important as just engaging in the act that leads to conception, or self promotion.
Maybe it’s just me but I’m not really seeing a lot of difference between the two.
The second link is utterly astounding.
