Another tragedy in ndn country related to one of our women – Misty Upham, another missing or murdered woman, an all too common occurence leaving a wound for the family that may scab over but never truly heal.
To quote another the “irony” of Banks inserting himself making declarations about a woman’s life being in danger who could have been saved is unmistakable.
The call by Banks for communal search and rescue teams blatant in the arrogance of the murder of Annie Mae Pictou Aquash at the hands of the American Indian Movement.
There are other bodies waiting to be discovered, other families that grieve and need closure such as those who await the repatriation of a loved ones remains hidden away in unmarked graves at WK2 – the remains of other AIM victims.
Banks is both a liar and a fraud if he will not emphasize the same importance, the same need to establish such teams on PR to search for those unmarked graves. If he will not direct the same effort to confronting the abuses our women face as he does in promoting himself and his products.
Ironic that one of the roles Misty played was that of an abused woman on the PR rez.
