THE WAY WE WALK

It isn’t always what is said but what is left unsaid- a silence where none should exist-neither is it always about what is done, but at times what is left undone.
“The miracle is not to fly in the air, or to walk on the water; but to walk on the earth.”– Chinese Proverb
This miracle of walking on the earth comes with a responsibility to speak and not be silent, to endeavor to do no harm, and address those that exist.
To be accountable and hold others the same- to walk upright, rather than bent and stooped with the burden of misdeeds.
We have the ability to defend ourselves and the obligation to defend others, to be just and seek justice for all-to comfort rather than afflict those in need, and to give that which we would receive.
We can be more or less-free or constrained-generous or selfish-caring or indifferent- a choice each must make, but we cannot be both, and it is the choices we make that will define us and the manner in which we walk upon the earth.
