Call me a skeptic, a pessimist, or if you’re of the AIM mentality a “hater” or “sellout”, but I can’t help but wonder if Chase Iron Eyes representation of John Graham will be pro bono or include one of those fundraisers like Indiegogo, or contributions/payment from other sources?
I mean do you aid a fellow “last real Indian” and “land warrior” as the result of feeling we are all related and a keen sense of pursuing “justice” is the motivation, or is compensation to be the way it?
If it’s a matter of attention representing Johnny Moore’s family in their quest for answers and justice would certainly qualify as helping a “relative” and generate attention as AIM would go apoplectic.
Then there’s representing Perry Ray Robinson jr’s family in seeking the repatriation of his remains…again something that would cause a severe apoplectic reaction from AIM.
How about a class action suit on behalf of the survivors of wk2 seeking compensation for their losses, for the destruction that AIM visited upon them?
You see the stumbling block here don’t you, the deterrent?
It would require labeling the AIM leadership what they are, and everybody knows a last real Indian would never do such a thing.
No, it’s better, more ndn, and facilitates to avoid doing such brash and un ndn things.
Yeah, better to go with the flow and support those who engage in the abduction and murder of women and innocents….it’s the AIM thing to do.
And besides, why focus on something from “another generation”?
Wait a minute, aren’t the murder of Annie and the man convicted for his participation in that abduction murder, John Graham, of “another generation”?
