Finding the money to kill people has never been a problem, when it comes to such things it seems as though literally billions just happen to be laying around.
Should a shortage occur well then just print some more or put it on the national credit card and kick the can down the road for others to pay….after all you don’t know anyone from future generations so what’s the big deal, right?
Killing people can be good for government contractors, boom times in fact – sure they have expenditures like kick backs and lobbying but a business axiom is if you want to make money you also have to spend money, call it an investment in the futures market.
Finding money that enhances life for those in need or the overall general welfare of people is another story, after all “uncle sam’s” pockets aren’t bottomless you know and there are priorities.
The climate is tanking? Well, that’s another war, another way in which people can be indiscriminately killed while “contractors” operating under the guise of CEO’s, one percenters, Wall Street, the banking industry, and multinational corporations will profit from it as well with lax regulations and favorable legislation.
The governmental approach can be likened to Jekyll and Hyde, an approach that goes on about health issues and yet subsidizes the tobacco industry, or postures about the environment while facilitating those who undermine it.
Government says it wants to create jobs and opportunities as it legislates the ability to export them. It wants people to eat right enabling them to live right and yet loves Monsanto and a criminally gluttinous big pharma.
Has a study ever been conducted related to government commodities? Where exactly do they come from?
Which profit mongers produce them and what kind of regulations and inspections are in place?
What level of GMOs are there, how many additives, preservatives, and hormones do these commodities contain? How many people are they slowly but surely killing?
The official choices are limited, you can either be killed by the cultivated barbarians at the gate or the corporate Neros as they burn Rome to the ground.
