  1. have seen models out there at 5.5 lbs net weight with camera, brackets, battery, etc, with autopilot to navigation way points at given altitude, it is only a matter of time before some sicko modifies such by stripping it’s hardware weight down such as removing camera, reducing it’s battery weight needs for a 1 mile flight and bringing back it’s net weight with 2 or so lbs of play dough …. sad to say, it is only a matter of time before 2 or so lbs of play dough turns into a fireball when such a thing reaches a way point , for people to understand just how much a threat these things can be from a extremest nutcase …. very distinctive sound those things have , it would be wise to key in on them when heard, that is to say there are modern day mind bent idiots singing The Age of Aquarius …. just saying Phonophobia has been re-defined in these times 🙂 …. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjxSCAalsBE

    • I’ve actually only seen one and that was at a store, salesperson
      told me it cost $1600 – I wouldn’t be interested at $16, but that’s
      just me.
Like I said I can see some viable applications like wildlife documentaries
maybe or in search and rescue operations but the potential for abuse
is high especially in a scenario like you’ve mentioned.
