Kind of a follow up to the previous two blogs:
I think it’s more than a little funny that former contenders for the nomination who were soundly rejected now feel compelled to announce they are not a candidate for the VP position, as though it’s a natural they would be.
Ego, or one last gasp for media attention? I’d say it’s impossible to separate the two.
Sarah Palin? Come on now, that ship sailed and went down like the Titanic long ago.
Marco Rubio, the man would couldn’t even carry his home state?
Chris Christie? Trump probably has less respect for him at this juncture than the public does.
Ted Cruz? Just as there can only be one Jedi there can only be one “lucifer” on the ticket at time.
Ben Carson? Well maybe if along with building a wall Trump wants to build some pyramids to store grain in or believes he needs a knife and hammer wielding sidekick to ride shotgun.
John Kasich? Too much has been made about proper table etiquette.
Bobby Jindal? The one time Clinton administrations wonder boy and now in the running for national dog catcher and midwife?
Jeb Bush? The younger sibling condemned to living in the political shadow of a war criminal brother, even Trump isn’t that stupid.
Carly Fiorina? Snatched from the jaws of the enemy camp and intellectually superior enough to pose a daily threat as VP, not going to happen.
Paul Ryan? Been there, done that with one loser already.
Could be Gingrich is lurking in the background though.
I actually wouldn’t be surprised if Trump opted for a woman in an effort to shore up support, an hispanic or afro america woman would be even more blatant.
Don’t forget that even though Trump is convinced Mexico is divesting itself of rapists, drug dealers, and murderers by sending them across the border Trump “loves” Mexicans and women so stranger things could happen.
Yet Trump has all those non establishment “experts” advising him so it could very well be someone from Goldman Sachs, Wall Street, or the banking industry.
Statements made by this assortment of individuals are as meaningful as you or I saying we wouldn’t accept the offer – truth of the matter is no one is going to ask us so it’s a moot point.
