Polls are a variety of things – they make money, attract attention, beguile, and manipulate – seldom do I believe they are “accurate” regardless of the method employed to conduct them.
Truth of the matter is the electorate can find a poll to substantiate just about any position they favor, a phenomena I liken to conspiracy theories, doesn’t matter what the conspiracy is you can find “supportive evidence”.
And yeah, there really is Alien life on Mars and the dark side of the moon – just look at the megalithic structures and sculpture they’ve built.
And what is their Alien agenda? Well, besides abducting people and subjecting them to all manner of duress and intrusive physical examinations they’re either going to attack and enslave or wait till the last moment and save us all from ourselves.
The nature of contradictory polls doesn’t seem to bother anyone – it’s kind of a smorgasbord, a little something for everyone.
The daily inundation designed to appease, please, incite, encourage or anger the general population:
Page one – Clinton opens big lead, or Trump favorability rises ……. come on now, it’s one or the other.
And what about those breathless displays of maps, charts, and interpretations by media “celebrities” as though they are inerrant?
It’s showtime – powder your nose and hit your mark the fate of the Republic hangs in the balance.
I don’t know about anyone else but I’m really over all this – the hucksterism and egregious amounts of bs that has transformed elections into a carnival sideshow of epic proportions.
Super pacs funneling money into campaigns courtesy of the Supreme Court that are then directed to an onslaught of negative ads that ultimately lower expectations, standards, and make what has been deemed as unacceptable somehow the norm and commonplace.
Yeah, so the candidates lie, cheat, and steal – big deal everybody does, right?, Right? But it’s either about making America great again or breaking glass ceilings so it doesn’t really matter does it?
If people want to lie to themselves that’s on them, but they shouldn’t attempt to whitewash it or their candidate of choice.
They shouldn’t qualify what’s going on as democracy in action or pretend that two or more lies make a right.
Personally I don’t see an upside to a knuckle dragging buffoon or Pinnochio’s twin sister being elected.
