That about sums it up doesn’t it? It would be interesting to me to know how many of those who bought into the fake news stories have healthcare, a job, earn a decent wage, and deny climate change?
How many are availing themselves of assistance programs or have family members who are?
How many have parents and or grandparents receiving SSI and medicare, children that attend public schools and perhaps on a free lunch program?
Of course this is a sampling of a demographic that shouldn’t be taken as inclusive, but there seems to a shared commonality in not doing the math – it is enough that they read or heard whatever it is they read or heard irrespective of the source.
To say they made fools of themselves is akin to referring to a torrential downpour as catching a little rain, and it is only natural to ask how many propagated the “news”?
How many know they were had and yet will continue to insist that Michelle Obama had a sex change operation or that Obama ran a pedophile ring out of the WH?
I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but it seems that at least among this particular demographic there is an unhealthy fascination with pedophilia and sexual perversion.
All you have to do is mention the word and they buy into it hook, line, and sinker – that is unless it is an accusation directed at one of their “heroes”.

a similar Pizzagate event.
For all we know there is a brooding deranged conspiracy theorist convinced that what they read or heard is in fact the truth who we’ll be reading about in the news.
There’s a notable difference in the “ignorance” of never having had the opportunity to learn something and that of a willful ignorance that rejects logic and facts.
Stupid is as stupid does can produce a laugh when spoken by a celluloid character like Forrest Gump, but it can have devastating consequences in the real world.
