Life serves a purpose even if it’s unseen.
Sometimes in walking along the river I’ll see a lone plant like this one and wonder if I’m the first or last to see it and think about the purpose it served.
Passed it’s prime but still reaching for the sun, nearing the completion of a journey perhaps known only to itself and bees who may have paid a visit.
I’ve went to a botanical garden in Minneapolis once and was blown away by the variety of plants represented – a kaleidoscope of wonder and beauty that left an impression on me for days afterwards.
While that visit was thought provoking no more so than this one – a hard fought existence among rocks and yet in blooming prevailed.
There’s a life lesson in that just as there is in all of nature, lessons we should take to heart and honor the mother who gives life to all things.
