Donald Trump aka King Con just can’t seem to win for losing – in fact he’s losing so much he must be getting tired of losing.
Every time Trump attempts to wax philosophical, every time he attempts to demonstrate the many “great words” he has or “the brain” he was gifted with he winds up looking like the proverbial classroom dunce.
This is immediately followed by tweets and the crew whose job it is to follow the parade sweeping up the horse shit with explanations and translation of gibberish into something they hope is understandable – Trump’s personal bucket brigade attempting to fight a raging fire with pails of water.
Andrew Jackson, now there’s a former president to be proud of – ‘ol Hickory who never saw a Supreme Court ruling he wouldn’t ignore, an indigenous person he didn’t hate, wouldn’t hesitate to kill and take their land from, or a slave he undoubtedly didn’t covet as his own personal property.
Yeah, this is the stuff of national pride, someone to aspire to be like – someone in Trump’s delusional world who had a “big heart”, knew the “art of the deal” and surely would have circumvented the American Civil War.
Too bad for the nation Jackson died sixteen years before the war began, think of the lives that could have been saved.
Too bad Trump’s knowledge and understanding of history rivals that of a parakeet.
I wonder what Trump’s source is related to Jackson? Is Besty de Vos privately tutoring him? Does he attend classes in one of her favored charter schools and is this part of the curriculum?
Is it part of one of those “great turnings” dime store soothsayer Steve Bannon goes on about?
Just when you think it can’t possibly get any worse, that surely the bottom has been plumbed, you realize anew that when it comes to Trump and his administration there is no bottom, it exists in a perpetual state of free fall, a black hole sucking the entire nation in, a celebration of ignorance.
What’s next, will Trump reveal P.T. Barnum was his instructor at Wharton or seances are conducted in the Oval Office and he speaks regularly with his departed hero?
Will he initiate a Jackson youth corp, call in to the media posing as Jackson in the same way he did as John Baron to heap praise upon himself?
The movie Idiocracy upon it’s debut was understood to be farce, a B grade production lampooning the dumbing down of America, who would have thought that life would imitate art to such an astounding degree?
Who would have thought a president would be elected who would go one better than the fictional President Camacho of Idiocracy fame?
Trump lauds Jackson as a man who would have averted a civil war even while Trump initiates and actively cultivates an ideological civil war against everything a democracy should represent.
In comparison Camacho is beginning to look like a genius.
Trump truly is a “maroon” and an “ignoranimous”, but it isn’t a laughing matter.
