I think the best approach with a child or anyone for that matter is not to push them when it comes to developing their creative skills – not to turn something they enjoy into drudgery.
Better I think to encourage and praise their effort, those things they create, whether it be pottery, bead work, or art.
People will at times say “if walls could talk” wondering what stories they could tell.
I’ve said as much myself but also wonder sometimes what if trees could talk.
Would they speak of nests and families, of fledglings and their antics, of those who fell from their nest near to return?
Do they embrace the children of others who play in the shade they provide or climb their limbs?
I’m inclined to thinks so believing as I do that trees and children are as compatible as dogs and children.
Not the highest point in Glacier but a nice view.
