Lens adapters that allow mounting a non native lens to a camera are not only brilliant but innovative ……… did I mention they also lighten the load on the wallet?
You can literally pay hundreds of dollars for an adapter or as little as ten or twelve bucks depending on taste, approach, and efficacy considerations.
Personally I go cheap and haven’t had cause to regret it so far.
The adapter shown in the photo is a Fotasy M42 to Nex, or Sony emount and cost the ten or twelve dollars mentioned previously.
Everything photography is undergoing an incremental price increase and for a fraction of the cost you add multiple vintage lenses to your collection that will perform admirably and I believe in taking greater control improve in your endeavors.
The lens is a Meyer – Gorlitz Orestegor f1.8 50mm in an M42 mount.
