If people want to learn or adopt something from indigenous people other than the cultural vacuuming and corruption of ceremonies that is taking place this is what it should be – an understanding that we are not separate from the earth, that if we harm it we in turn are harmed and there is an associated cost that is and will be generational in nature.
People speak of an environmental tipping point while failing to consider that if climate change can be tied to the industrial revolution is it possible that if all environmental issues were remediated that it wouldn’t require a comparable period of time to cleanse the land, air, and water? That somehow the environment would revert overnight, in a year, or five to ten years?
Or do they believe that “accords” targeting “reductions” over a twenty year span of time are the magic bullet?
A bill has come due there is no escape from as the tipping point has been passed – space exploration in the ill founded belief habitable planets exist humans can migrate to amount to little more than science fiction when viewing the distances and differences.
Even so if such a place were to be found do people think there would be a mass migration or would it only be limited to a mere handful of the chosen?
The truth is we aren’t going anywhere as a species – we either tend to the planet or become extinct.
