Napoleon from Animal Farm
This is an interesting and well written article – timely and coincidental in that just a couple of days ago I had an exchange with a person related to George Orwell’s books Animal Farm and 1984 as they in turn related to the current administration.
Animal Farm was a literary metaphor for Stalinist Russia and 1984 a commentary about a looming dysfunctional form of government.
It’s almost as though Orwell was able to look into the future, in fact I consider him to be a visionary and have said so often.
A visionary who witnessing the rise of power hungry despots during his lifetime understood the manner in which people could be manipulated and was confident it was a recurring theme.
A visionary who understood the difference between press secretaries and propagandists.
An additional missing did you notice question is did you notice that Kellyanne’s husband may be assuming a role in the Department of Justice Civil Division?
If you’re interested in gaining some perspective into the current administration reading Animal Farm as well as 1984 can provide that – Animal Farm I believe can be read in it’s entirely on various sites on the net.
As the linked article urges, dig a little deeper, do the math.
Word is USAG Eric Holder has said he’s not interested in pursuing crimes forty or more years old-I’m willing to bet though that will have a selective application.
If true, then AIM must be celebrating, and it can truly be said that not only did they commit the perfect crimes but were aided and abetted by the system in doing so.
AIM will of course continue to shed crocodile tears and clamor over a new trial or clemency for Peltier, while at the same time studiously avoiding any mention of the names of their victims-should any movement occur in that direction they will weep and wail and immediately don the victim costume while crying foul.
Hell of a thing that the pursuit of justice rests on the interest or lack of interest in pursuing it by a lone individual.
Even more so when said individual doesn’t hold an elective office and apparently feels empowered enough to arbitrarily impose a de facto statute of limitations without virtue of debate or legislation.
Ultimately this seems to substantiate my long held belief that the passage of time and the principals has been the strategy all along-and in my opinion there can only be a very limited number of reasons for that…none of them good, none of them just, none of them honorable.
But then what’s a few more dead Indians right? A mere drop in the in the historical context of the bucket – especially if they were killed by their own ethnic Chivington’s.
And that dead civil rights activists Perry Ray Robinson Jr.? Just another black man his own leadership has forgotten and apparently could care less about-besides, he shouldn’t have been there in the first place right?
Who the hell did he think was? Probably just “uppity” or a “Commie”.
