Another twofer Tuesday:
I don’t know what the problem is for voters who don’t support Bernie Sanders, it can only be that they like their Republican counterparts
have bought into the misinformation that Democratic Socialist reform
somehow equals communism when a high school student could define and explain the differences.
People ask where will the money come from for such reforms? That’s almost to obvious to have to explain:
To begin there is something like two point four corporate and one percentor dollars sitting off shore in tax shelters depending on which statistics are accurate – Sanders wants to close the loopholes that allow such inequities and tax that money.
Tax evading money by entities like Apple, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Google and Abbott Labs – that’s the short list.
He rightfully points out that the tax payers were left with the burden of Wall Street manipulations that led to the recent near economic collapse and now it is their turn to give something
Hillary made a complete fool of herself sending daughter Chelsea out on the campaign trail to claim Sanders wants to do away with Obamacare – thats an absolute lie.
When Obamacare was first being promoted the plan was to make it a single payer program, that was what everyone got behind, the legislation also was “compromised” down, not up.
So if you’re all about Obamacare then you should at least in theory be a
hundred percent behind Sanders proposal.
Student loans are a talking point, students graduate up to their necks in debt and everybody rails about it – so what’s the problem with tuition free education that levels the educational field for everyone and will provide a leg up for all students?
Is it that the image and definition everyone has of “American exceptionalism” is debt servitude and getting hustled at every turn? Of wealth and influence migrating to the very top? Does exceptionalism translate to inequity, injustice, and robber barons?
Sanders is for immigration reform, a realistic approach. Does anyone actually believe or feel the U.S. should exist behind walls like a paranoid gated community? A modern day Masada?
Does anyone actually believe rounding up over eleven million illegal immigrants, running them through the courts, and deporting them is economically or logistically feasible?
How about the minimum wage – you against an appreciable increase? Think it will cost jobs as the Republicans carry on about? If you do then do the research and learn otherwise – an increase would lead to greater purchasing power, a decrease in public assistance, and increased production and jobs. Ergo, a healthier economy and population.
If you’re looking to find tax revenue consider those savings and the resulting increase in taxable income.
Consider that single payer insurance would not only reduce rates but create competition among providers and pharmaceutical companies.
The Republican party is all about “read my lips, no new taxes” that the tax burden is “unfair”.
The question is unfair to who? It certainly isn’t to corporations or one
precenters as the Republicans across the board are willing to throw themselves and every man, woman, and child in this country in front of a train to insure their buds either don’t pay taxes or the least possible amount, they do this while waving the flag, talking about patriotism, and bullshitting their supporters who they expect a profound ignorance from.
They’ll say right to your face a minimum wage increase just isn’t possible, but somehow more tax breaks and loopholes for their pimps are.
Knowing their base they make it all about gun control, family values that they can’t even spell the words for, and of course ISIS and how they’ll just completely annihilate not only iSIS but all terrorists in the bargain, another load of bullshit.
But hey, they know the tunes their supporters will dance to.
The Republicans are going to make the nation great, they have a divine mandate from God to do so. Don’t believe so? Then ask them.
Maybe they’ll decide to deport non Christians, people who don’t believe exactly as they do.
How will they go about this revival? They’ll do way with regulations that insure the water in every community isn’t like the water in Flint, Michigan.
They’ll do away with regulations related to food safety, job safety, commercial, public, and personal transportation, the environment, and any regulation that actually serves a beneficial purpose.
They’ll do away with anything even remotely resembling planned parenthood because apparently they and god believe it’s better for a child to be born in poverty and dependent on the very public assistance programs they also want to do away with – a plan to create generations of mendicants and dependency, a plan to create children born with physical and mental handicaps due to a lack of prenatal care, a plan assured to leave in it’s wake malnourished children, but perhaps more heinous, a plan to create a legion of minimum wage “service” workers who will fight for any scrap that falls from the table.
Besides they’d have you believe every woman who engages in premarital sex or any woman who is pro choice is basically a slut married or not.
That’s Republican law, a concoction of Mosaic and Sharia law.
Exceptions of course being made for one of their own.
When that’s the case it becomes the Jimmy Swaggert thing of having sinned but forgiven.
And a child born of such a premarital union or even a rape? While precious and has the right to life is in the end a child of a lesser god or no god at all and society shouldn’t have to “take care” them.
Democratic Socialist Reforms are the great evil? Not by a long shot – the Republican Party’s platform and policies are the true evil.
And though I don’t hold with such terms for the special few among the fringe element who do for their benefit I’ll say the Republican Party is led by the “demons”, “satanists”, and even funnier, the “sodomites” they love to rave on about.
Hillary Clinton can attempt whatever makeover she thinks will work, but the reality is she amounts to little more than a “lite” version of Republicanism.
The corporate cronyism of Hillary and the Clinton Foundation have known no bounds when it comes to accepting money in exchange for providing access and influence from Wall Street all the way to the Saudis and even Russia.
They’ve long known “the art of deal” without ever having to read Trump’s book – I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they served in some part as source material.
Hillary the “reformer”? When pigs fly.
