If Trump’s ill advised raid into Yemen is an example of his “knowing more” than generals, his military genius and ability to lead I wouldn’t be surprised if the confidence level of terrorist has increased.
Trump being the loudmouthed braggart he is no doubt wanted to show off, to add a feather to his cap and be given a heroes welcome like Caesar – as Commander in Chief Trump was handed a loaded gun and couldn’t wait to the pull the trigger in an attempt to prove his expertise.
Well, stupid is as stupid does and it all went south.
Spicer immediately attempted damage control with a series of lies praising the raids success while the military said such wasn’t the case.
But who you gonna believe, a “genius” who knows more about everything than anyone else or those who actually understand the importance of intel briefings and prosecute wars?
That may not be a fair question though as the trumpkins would believe it if Trump told them s*** actually is shinola and begin using the contents of those bags they carry when walking the dog to polish their shoes with.
All things considered maybe they should be given a handicap, a point spread, in the race to the finish line of sanity and reason.
The father of slain SEAL Ryan Owens is demanding an investigation as well he should while expressing his disdain for having to endure Trump’s presence as his son’s casket was carried off the plane.
Bill Owens, father of Ryan, says the government owes his son an investigation and I agree, but more than that it owes the nation an investigation.
The problem is that if such an investigation should it occur will be presided over by a Trump administration – an administration convinced that lipstick actually can be applied to pigs while it’s supporters morph into a flash mob in a headlong rush to provide the lipstick.
The administration is eager to move on, inconvenient truths are anathema to it’s theme, to it’s very being.
With that being the case we may at some point see fact based articles written about the raid being labeled fake news.
With the Trump administrations attempt to spin events and effort to distance themselves it could become their Benghazi.
SEALS sign up knowing the risks involved, risks they accept, but in that acceptance there should be a quid pro quo by an administration willing to weigh the risks and take the long view.
