The corporate strategy and that of fear mongering, flag waving conservatives that populate government is to portray anything user friendly that empowers people or gives them a fair shake and value for their dollar as socialism.
So I ask the reader to follow the below link, read the article and then ask themself if such a corporate portrayal is accurate or what the people in Chattanoga have done a commonsense approach?
Is this socialism or a communal effort to take back the right of choice and exercise it?
If you happen to believe it is socialism and threatens the very underpinnings of what is referred to in this country as a democratic representative government perhaps you could enlighten us to why and how?
The question should also be asked if communal ventures like farming, co ops, and even employee owned businesses are socialism or a fair shake and empowerment?
How about open source browsers or search engines – freeware – that cuts out the corporate glutton, anyone want to denounce them as bad for “democracy”?
I don’t know about anyone else but I personally am really tired of anything and everything that doesn’t serve the corporate profit interest being labeled as socialism. Likewise any who would portray the idea of governmental transparency and strict accountability as being anything other than what it is……an inherent right of all people. What a true democracy is supposed to be about.
The second link is related to the Pacific Trade Agreement, I suggest people a few moments to read it as well.
Wake up people – all that talk about Socialism is pure unadulterated BS – what this country has in not real democracy, it is a firmly embedded governmental facilitated corporotocracy and you can either go along for the ride or stand up for what you have a right to expect it to be…..and that is user friendly and representative.
If what the city and people of Chattanoga have done is socialism then every person in this country should be for it and doing likewise in their community.
If communal involvement and effort directed at the well being of all amounts to socialism then the nations were socialists before the word was coined – and we were a damn sight better off then than we are now, just as the people of Chattanoga are.
