There are fighters and there areĀ talkers – some people will talk a good fight as the saying goes but when push comes to shove it becomes a different story.
Some just want to fight, but what serves is a willingness to do both.
I don’t necessarily mean to imply physically fighting should be the first response or for that matter that the word fight is restricted to that.
There are numerous ways to fight, to resist, and the balance is struck when both words and actions are joined together.
It’s among the easiest of things to talk and do little else, I don’t know about others but I’ve never been impressed by that.
If for example we’re willing to talk about the environment then we should also be willing to do even the smallest of things to address it.
Little things like not throwing litter out a car window or as we walk along. Little things like if we see it pick it up, or not allowing our homes or our communities to become an extended trash can or salvage yard littered with defunct vehicles and appliances.
The truth is the land is being eclipsed by garbage and pollutants.
The above photo depicts a Qagyuhl eclipse dance related to the moon – wouldn’t be a bad idea to initiate such a dance directed at the eclipse of trash, and once having done so to act upon it.
It may not be glamorous to pick up trash, to make the effort, but it’s a lot more glamorous than living in the midst of it.
