Interesting that James Arthur Ray, self styled conductor of the infamous “sweat lodges” a couple of years ago in the new age mecca of Sedona, Arizona that took the lives of three people and sickened others expressed remorse recently in a televised interview.
If genuine I suppose it means something, but that is for the survivors of the victims and others to decide.
During the interview Ray characterized himself as being arrogant at times and believing due to the attention he was receiving and the believers that he had all the answers- a belief common it seems of those who either steal the nations traditions or those among us who sell them.
Ray’s title was “motivational speaker”- those of our own who see our beliefs and customs as marketable commodities favor the title “spiritual leader”, “medicine man”, or even “chief of chiefs”.
The only difference I can see between them and Ray is ethnicity, everything else is the same-the same greed, the same corruption, and the same belief that they have all the answers- all you have to do is pony up some money.
