The latest blogs have been about liberty and the inherent rights of the individual, as I’ve thought about these things I began to think that there may come a time in the looming dystopian future when a free thinker will look back at all this and assign guilt, an encompassing guilt that will respect neither party nor the politicians who populate them.
This free thinker may be the child or grandchild of someone who has attempted to defend and minimize what cannot be defended or minimized.
More than the present is at risk-the future is as well,
Dystopian futures have been written about by such literary giants as George Orwell and H.G. Wells.
It is a favored Hollywood genre now, but it’s quite possible that the issues we see currently are portents of things to come-there seems almost to be an inevitability about it
Prophecies among the nations and the world’s religions have spoken of such times-it doesn’t take a “believer” to see something is in the wind, rather an arrogance to deny, ignore, or believe that man is the pinnacle, able to bend all things to his will, that science or aliens from a galaxy far, far away will save the day.
Man has created and facilitated this mess we find ourselves in-all the societal wrongs speak to this, all the inequity and injustice, climate change, corporate greed, a downward spiralling dysfunctional and indifferent government, and the bill is coming due.
We are not to big to fail.
